SOME 92 percent of nearly 5,000 graduates from the 2020 class of Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology (SZIIT) had received job offers as of Monday, SZIIT announced at the commencement ceremony held Monday on its campus in Longgang District.

Several student representatives attended the ceremony on campus while others joined in online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In order to help fresh graduates conquer employment challenges brought about by the COVID-19 public health crisis, SZIIT held several online recruitments to attract more job opportunities from companies offering employment.
The employment rate of fresh graduates in 2020 reached 92 percent as of Monday.
Among the graduates, 423 won awards in provincial and national skills contests and a total of 37 students successfully got high-demand certificates including the HCIF certificate, a Huawei certification in the IT industry, according to SZIIT.
Chen Hongduo, one of the excellent students, established two startups when he was in school and formed cooperations with Haier and SF Express.
Sun Yong, president of SZIIT, delivered a speech during the ceremony in which he encouraged students to bravely pursue their dreams and to always have the spirit of innovation.
