Following a series of cafe events around the UK on the topic of overdose - this one in London took place just two days before International Overdose Awareness Day (31st August). It was a chance for a number of those in the field to come together, share news and experiences, and to network with like-minded people.
Harm Reduction Cafe Reports

Wednesday the 10th July was the first Birmingham harm reduction cafe event. Around ten of us met at the Comfort Inn where Philippe Bonnet introduced people before we moved onto the much cooler 'sun terrace' of the Holiday Inn hotel.
Really informative event with Stephen Malloy leading the discussion around Prenoxad and DRD prevention. Good attendance from Drug and alcohol sector, Homeless sector, SUSSED and Public health England.
In mid June I was lucky enough to have been asked to talk about the Harm Reduction Cafe idea at the International Harm Reduction Conference in Vilnius. This was part talk, and part cafe event.
