The Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology (SZIIT) has won a total of four awards in the appraisal of China’s national teaching achievements, including two first prizes and two second prizes.
SZIIT is one of the four higher vocational colleges in the country that have received two first prizes, unveiled by the Ministry of Education on July 24, and the awards that SZIIT obtained have been the highest it has received since its establishment in 2002.
The national teaching achievement award is China’s highest in the field of educational research and practice.
The award conducts evaluations once every four years and represents the highest level of national education and teaching. It is an important indicator which measures the teaching levels, abilities and qualities of a college or university. It is also an important reference for selecting undergraduate-level vocational colleges.
In this year’s appraisal, a total of 1,416 vocational education teaching achievement award candidate projects were recommended from all over the country, with 572 recognized as award-winning achievements, including two special awards, 70 first prizes and 500 second prizes.
SZIIT was awarded two first prizes and one second prize in last year’s national teaching achievement appraisal.
